Anais Tuepker
I'm co-founder of Preciva Incorporated, a for-profit business developing electronic screening and diagnostic tests for cervical cancer, and also co-founder of that company's not-for-profit hybrid model partner Civa Health. The shared mission of our work is to make screening more accurate, more accessible and more supportive of women's involvement in their own health in both low-and high-income countries. I hold a PhD in Sociology and a Masters in Public Health and I had the great good fortune to participate in GSBI 2008. In addition to my business hat, I'm an academic researcher and specializing in health disparities, health care and displaced populations, and the sociology of international health as a profession. I'm also a mother of two third graders, an avid traveler, an activist for reform of our health care system in the United States and a volunteer with the African Women's Coalition of Portland, Oregon.
