DAVID HOPKINS BIO David is leading research for the upcoming book entitled “The Tactics of Hope.” The book highlights 30 successful social entrepreneurs across all ethnic, generational, and geographic boundaries, with the objective to support and inspire thousands of individuals looking to make a difference in the world. David has lived with families in several foreign countries, including France where he studied economics and political science at l’Université Catholique in Paris, Tanzania where he taught HIV/AIDS awareness to women in rural churches and schools, and Greece where he worked in a remote village with 40 other Americans and Greeks to build a park plaza and monument for the community. David has held job and internship positions in three sectors (corporate, non-profit, and government), including experience in sales, grantwriting, accounting, and national politics. He served for two years in college as director of the International Affairs Center of the Roosevelt Institution, the nation’s first intercollegiate student think tank devoted to progressive policy reform. Just two months ago in Vermont, after completing his final work for a paper entitled “Social Entrepreneurship: ‘Real World’ Activations of the Liberal Arts Education,” he completed his degree and graduated from Middlebury College cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, Politics and Economics.
