I am the president of a nonprofit organization called RandomKid. We believe that any "RandomKid" has the power to solve real world problems, and we help kids do just that. We're guiding children to become the social entrepreneurs of tomorrow, by solving real world problems today. Kids come to RandomKid with a desire to help. Sometimes they have a specific cause in mind, other times they select from a RandomKid list. RandomKid connects the child with other children on this problem. What’s more, the children may pool their funds to enjoy impact faster.
“We would never have been able to fund a water pump in South Africa on our own,” said elementary teacher Julie Calleja, “By connecting us with other schools with the same goal, RandomKid helped our class realize the dream in just a few months!”
RandomKid offers the child the ability to interact directly with the people in the field who are working on the solutions.
RandomKid also gives the children the satisfaction of "direct impact." Our kids got to name a school they built in Cambodia (serving 300+ children), name a water pump in South Africa that serves up to 2500 people, penpal with the people they've helped, etc.
