Founder & Executive Director of KOMAZA, a social enterprise working in Kilifi District, Kenya. We plant fast-growing, drought-tolerant Eucalyptus trees as a cash crop for rural, subsistence farming communities. I've spent over 2 years living in Kilifi, on-and-off since 2002, initially doing malaria immunology research at the KEMRI/WTRL labs at the Kilifi District Hospital, and since 2006 developing KOMAZA. I graduated from Brown University in May 2007 (ScB Neuroscience) and was awarded the Draper Richards Fellowship and Rainer Arnhold Fellowship in January 2008 (for building KOMAZA).
