matt & jessica flanneryGlobal X interviews Matt and Jessica Flannery, co-founders of Kiva, before Oprah can get the chance.

Watch Matt as he explains how he made the decision to quit his Silicon Valley job and work full time for Kiva.  And listen to Jessica as she describes her pre-marital problems, which actually led to Kiva’s birth!

Matt and Jessica, thanks for sharing. I hadn't heard the pre-marital counseling bit in the Kiva story. It makes me chuckle and shake my head. You guys are rock stars! That will go down with the eBay/Pez story in Silicon Valley lore
only, this one is true!

Inspiring

Matt & Jessica, you are doing great work and you are a tremendous inspiration to people like me. I am a registered member of KIVA but noticed that Zimbabwe is not on your list of countries. It is a country in a hyperinflationary economy but also one which is full of dedicated & driven informal entrepreneurs. I have just returned from a visit and one of my small scale bag makers asked me to leave him some money to enable him to purchase materials to grow his business. How can such a program be extended to hyperinflationary economies such as Zimbabwe? Does anyone know the answer?

See you in SF when I return in March.
