Joachim Ezeji - Nigeria

GSBI 2007

joachim ezijiGlobal X interviews Joachim Ezeji (GSBI 2007), founder of the Rural Africa Water Development Project in Nigeria, a social venture that improves access to safe drinking water through household water treatment technologies.

"Africa wants to change, but the problem is leadership," says the geologist-turned-social-entrepreneur to Global X. The other issue: "Resources. Money is king!"

His hope for 20017: "There will be more interest from the first world to help the third world."

The young man has been a life saver to thousands of people especially in the eastern part of the country by making it possible for people to have access to good drinking water which is the major problem in Nigeria as a whole.Mr.Ezeji has no idea what he has done for the masses. But while thousands have good drinking water, millions are still drinking from dirty contaminated borehole and are dieing every day.So he can not do it alone and for this problem to be eradicated completely,it will take a long time but not by 20017.Nigeria needs more people like Joachim and above all we need the help of developed countries like America and Europe.
