Dear Chhaya,

My name is Sriram and I am a member of the GSBI application task force. Thank you for submitting your target market exercise as part of the GSBI application process. I reviewed your submission and understand the objective of HARC is to help the farmers in the Uttarkhand region.

I would like to offer a few comments on your target market submission. The TAM mentions the census numbers of 20,000. Can this high level number be further segmented further using other means like local sub-regions or by a specific agricultural produce inside the Uttarkhand region?  The segmentation at a demographic level or at a produce level like wheat farmers, Potato farmers, etc can probably help you focus on particular segments. This can even be done district wise if possible to allow you to position your services in a better way and help you scale.

Also, you have shown the alternatives focusing on the same target market. If so are you are offering a substitution to the competing alternatives that enables you to focus on the entire population of 20,000 in the segment? An affirmative answer for this is perfectly acceptable but would just need you to have a significant competitive advantage over any alternative in terms of resources, penetration etc to focus on the entire population of 20,000.

At this moment, these are the comments on your target market submission.  I look forward to your resubmission for the target market exercise. If you have your value proposition exercise completed than you may submit it on social edge under the exercise 2 submission area.

Please let me know of any questions.

Best Regards,

Sriram
