TECK KIDS INITIATIVE

Up to GSBI 2008 Exercise 2: Value Proposition

TECK KIDS INITIATIVE

Posted by MariaEmmanuel Okoye at February 09. 2008

Exercise 2: Value Proposition

With more
than 20million
Nigeria school children (6yrs – 12yrs) not
having access to computer and internet. Teck
Kids Initiative
seeks to narrow the digital divide by providing Nigeria
primary school children and their teachers with equal access to ICT
opportunities, training and capacity building in a fun and motivating
environment of learning that is interactive using a comprehensive and
integrated mobile solution thereby making them computer literates, competitive
in the 21st century and improving teaching standards unlike the
interventions by the State and Federal Governments.

Hi Ms. Okoye,

Thank you for submitting your exercise 2 - I think you've done a really good job on this. The only thing you might consider adding to it would be any information or statistics about the impact you've made. Otherwise, though, it looks good to me and I'd encourage you to proceed to exercise 3.

Also, I noticed that you used the 20 million figure of Nigerian school children without Internet access - that is the figure you should add to your exercise 1, in section 1.1. It's great to see it here!

Thanks,

Katharine

Hi Ms. Okoye,

I just wanted to let encourage you to post your exercise 3, business model, as soon as possible. As the exercise period ends Feb. 25, you may want me to comment on it beforehand so you can make changes to it, if you want. I'd need to receive your exercise by Feb. 22 at the latest to provide comments, but of course, the sooner, the better!

Best,

Katharine
