JOB TITLE: Hospitality Business Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY: The Hospitality Business Coordinator for Friends International is responsible for the following: Daily oversight of all hospitality training businesses; promoting the hospitality training businesses locally and internationally; establishing contacts with local and international tour groups; setting up new hospitality training programs in Cambodia and internationally; and other duties may also be assigned as necessary.

TASKS AND COMPETENCIES: Tasks required of a successful candidate in this role are as follows:
The main tasks of the project will include:
- Restaurant Operations:
- Tasks: Supervise restaurant managers to ensure: hiring and training of staff; teachers are properly training students; that all staff and students follow proper rules of dress, hygiene, and conduct; the quality and consistency of all food, beverages, and service; that sales and profit goals are met or exceeded; that properties are well maintained; the safety and satisfaction of guests; the proper accounting for revenue, budgeting, and purchasing; regular meetings with Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader, Technical Advisor, and teachers.
- Competencies: Ability to monitor multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to effectively manage staff.
- Personnel Management:
- Tasks: Evaluate, train and support restaurant staff.
- Competencies: Ability to effectively manage staff.
- Financial Operations:
- Tasks: Create and oversee restaurant budgets; approve the major purchases including restaurant equipment, repairs and renovations.
- Competencies: Ability to prepare, read, and maintain a budget.
- Public Relations:
- Tasks: Promote hospitality training businesses locally and internationally; establish contacts with local and international tour groups
- Competencies: Ability to represent Friends International professionally when working with other businesses and organizations locally and internationally.
- Reporting:
- Tasks: Prepare quarterly and annual reports for Friends International
- Competencies: Ability to effectively track, organize, and communicate relevant data and information to others
PREREQUISITES: Previous hospitality management experience required especially in kitchen and service management (5 years minimum). Experience teaching and/or working with young underprivileged people desirable. Good written and very good verbal skills; proficiency in English required. Computer knowledge, including proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and basic accounting/budget skills required.
