Advice on, or info., on improving Amerasad.com site capabilities

Posted by Diane Bouffard at August 10. 2008

I've recently begun a dream called Amerasad: American Association of Seniors & Disabled. The site can be viewed at www.amerasad.com. And a bit about the how's and why's of the new project are on the about me page as well as a wonderful article you can read at the link to the right of the page titled Amerasad In The News. I've been pleased with the site activity to date for the length of time that I've had it up. The site is not a NFP as I do hope to derive income from the advertising end with all other aspects of funding, i.e. donations and shop purchases going directly to the maintaining of the site itself.

My question is: Is there anything I can do that's cost effective to entice donors and advertisers above and beyond a happen chance visit to the site itself. I've worked on the SEO part and feel I've got that pretty much in order. There's no membership fees and I'd like to keep it that way. The message board area is read a lot but so far it's been a mod and one physician that writes for the site utilizing it. Help in that are is needed as well.

Perhaps I'm being impatient as the site has only been active a little over a month.

I hope to build the business up enough to provide offline services, free of charge, to seniors and the disabled. I could use some insight if anyone would like to comment.

Thanks  you ever so much,

Dee
