Never let me sink back into that darkness
There's so much to do
too many people to love
to forgive
to give hope to.
Temper my desire for change
with your mercy and your gentle hand on my wrists
so that when that tsunami of social change comes
and it will come
again...
that this time
your people are transformed
as peacefully as the fall of the Berlin Wall.
No casualties.
No injuries.
No suffering.
Let my suffering be enough for all.
