Spark Seeks Social Enterprises Tackling Homelessness in UK

Win a share of £500,000 prize plus mentoring. Apply by 18 February 2008.
Spark is a highly innovative flagship project, to build and inspire social enterprise to prevent and tackle homelessness. Its aim is to reduce the dependency of many third sector organisations on grants and donations, which offer little long term security for homeless people.
Spark wants YOUR innovative social enterprise ideas for preventing or tackling homelessness.
The top 15 applicants will be announced in February 2008. In April, they will present the business case of their social enterprise to a panel of experienced social entrepreneurs, and the five best ideas will win a share of the £500,000 prize fund, an enterprise 'make-over challenge', and mentoring from experienced entrepreneurs including Nigel Kershaw from Big Issue Invest and John Montague from TREES.
