The Seep Network "Defining Social Enterprise" Online Conference
Filed Under:
July 15-July 30, 2008
The Seep Network will be hosting an online discussion on Social Enterprise between July 15-July 30, 2008. You are invited to participate and contribute to the discussion.
In Defining Social Enterprise, we will be reviewing a short positioning paper that helps define Social Enterprise and places it into the wider context of international development programs. The SEEP Network presents Defining Social Enterprise, an on-line conference about Social Enterprise. We will:
- Discuss a paper that positions Social Enterprise in a wider context
- Define Social Enterprise: what it is and what it is not!
- Contribute your own examples of successful Social Enterprises
- Consider The SEEP Network’s future role in the Social Enterprise field
The Online Conference will be followed by the establishment of the Social Enterprise Working Group (SEWG). The SEWG will publish its findings with the final edition of the Social Enterprise Positioning Paper. The Working Group will have an opportunity to make a lasting and possibly authoritative contribution to defining Social Enterprise and placing it into a wider context. We will contribute to a more definitive body of knowledge regarding social enterprise, and to provide examples of how it is similar to, and how it is different from, these other programs.
