ANNOUNCING THE 6TH ANNUAL GLOBAL SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP COMPETITION (GSEC)
March 1-5, 2010, University of Washington, Seattle, WA

Now accepting applications for GSEC 2010!
Students around the world are invited to submit an idea for an innovative, commercially-sustainable business that addresses a problem of poverty in the developing world to the Global Social Entrepreneurship Competition (GSEC).

GSEC engages creative minds across the globe to encourage bolder and less conventional business solutions to global poverty.  Open to students worldwide—and across fields of study—GSEC plans are judged on the quality of life in the developing world, financial sustainability, and implementation feasibility.

Business ideas may focus on any industry area, such as global health, environment, technology, agriculture, and education. Multidisciplinary teams are highly encouraged.

Twelve to fifteen semi-finalist teams will be invited to Seattle for GSEC Week, where they pitch their business ideas to judges and the UW community, visit regional companies, and compete for prize money, including global health awards.

Application deadline November 11, 2009.
